Washi tape / orange / embossing.. I embossed the orange card stock with an embossing folder. The image is colored with copics. I added some glossy accents to the frogs eyes, tongue and fly wings. I also added some Nuvo drops that has an orange look.

The best way to predict the future - Sunny Day Crafting #20

Wednesday May 16, 2018

Are you ready for another fun challenge at
I hope so cause we have a fun theme HORSES

I have so many stamps but boy I had to dig for a horse stamp.. I almost used a unicorn and just cut the horn off.. LOL.  I think it would of worked but looking at my shelves of wooden stamps I found this image. I have no idea who it's by cause that was when I just bought rubber and mounted them myself.
I stamped the image with Stampin up ink. I then used the My favorite things stitch die and cut it out. I used my dry wall tape  as a stencil and added blue Ranger ink for the background texture. I found a sentiment from Tech. Tues. and more SU ink. I added the horse piece but it looked plain so I used Simon Says feather dies and some paint chip pieces and a scrap of paper and tied with twine and added this to the bottom.  This is pretty much and easy peasy card to make.

Wednesday May 16, 2018

Are you excited for another challenge at Pause Dream Enjoy #20..
The Orange team has a PHOTO challenge for you.
Will it be colors or actual image.???  Cant wait to see what you create.

This is the photo guide

I created my card by mostly following the photo. I started by creating my background using my ground and sky template with Ranger ink. Then I added some stamped trees (they are a red rubber stamp and I don't have the name for them). I colored them with colored pencils and I didn't like the medium green I stamped the outline them in so once I finished coloring them I went around the trees with a black pen. Using Paper Trey Ink set I stamped and die cut the bike and added the pink using Stampin up ink.. The tires and basket with Ranger ink and the ivy leaves with Altnew ink. I then assembled the bike and added silver brads on the wheels. I stamped the sentiment also by Paper Trey Ink and heat embossed.  I like the sentiment.. we should live life like it says.

You will always be my forever - Craftaholics R Us #20

Wednesday May 16, 2017

The Green team is back with another fun challenge at
Craftaholics R Us #20  and the theme is ANYTHING GOES

Back in 2017 I used this stamp from Hero Arts and embossed the piece but the embossing was messed up cause I didn't get a good stamp on most of it so I cut the piece down to just  three inches which was ok.. I saved it.. Now I am glad I did because it worked out perfect for this ATG challenge. I just cut the piece into one inch strips and added them on foam strips to the blue paper. I embossed the sentiment from Tech. Tuesday in white and added some sequins and Nuvo drops. This card was fun and simple to make.  I really love this Hero arts stamp. So pretty and detailed. The blue embossing powder is so pretty I just need to remember to make sure I double stamp the Versa Mark so I get a good sticky mess for the powder. But at least it was partially saved and thanks to my can't throw anything away.

hello my sweet friend

Monday May 14, 2018

I am having so much fun in my craft room just creating and trying new things. I started by embossing the gray card stock.. I then took turquoise card stock and Reverse Confetti die and cut the scalloped edge. I then stamped Simon says flower and I have been wanting to color in grays so I gave it a try. I was scared it would get to dark so I tried to keep it light but hopefully effective. I added some turquoise to the center to just go along with the scalloped turquoise. I added some Nuvo drops to the center dots. I then fussy cut it after it was dry. I used My favorite things leaves and scraps. I used Simon Says hello die and heat embossed the my sweet friend. I then added the flower and leaves. I added some sequins to finish the card.

Hello everyone.. I hope you're enjoying May.. hope your weather is turning nice..  All's good in the PNW..
Well today we have a new challenge at Catch the bug..
the theme is "SAY IT WITH FLOWERS"

I chose the image called tulip bunny  which you can find in the Bugaboo store.
I colored the image with copics and then used Simon Says wonky die to cut it out. I went around the edge with Quick Quote chalk ink. I added some Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on the flowers. I stamped the Hero arts sentiment and used Stampin up tag die. I added a pearl to the top. For the background I used some perfect pearls watered down and splatted over the card stock. I then took pink spray and spritzed it a few times. I let it dry and then around the edge with QQ chalk inks.  I am using pinks more and more. it surprises me.. I even have a new pink hoodie.. oh my gosh I love the color. Why I never liked the color before I don't know.. Happy Retirement - Russ

Friday May 11, 2018

I wanted to make a retirement card for a dear dear friend. My best friend who I had for 35 years and suddenly passed away 10 years ago. Her husband is retiring this week. It saddens me that they are not together to enjoy these golden years that are to come.
This image had two chairs on the stamp but I only inked one up as I thought that would represent an empty chair and I know he would of thought of Rosie being in it.. I am sure he's thinking of her now anyhow..  I started by using a little Ranger ink and did the yellow for the sun glow and a little brown for the ground. I then stamped the chair and used copics to give a little color. I added some grass and then the sentiment. All images are from Taylored Expressions.  I kept it CAS.

This is the Free Friday image "Beauty"..  I started by creating the background by using 2 different Washi tapes and just adding them till I got what I liked. I then used My favorite things die and cut the image out. I used the colors in the washi tape (minus the blue) to color the image with copics. I added a little Spectrum Noir sparkle to the ribbon, necklace and earing... I added a Simon Says Happy Birthday and a little Quick Quote chalk ink to go around the edges of the HB.. I mounted the image and sentiment with foam tape.

Bee happy - Aud Sentiments #203

Thursday May 10-21, 2018

Welcome to another fun challenge at Aud Sentiments #203
our theme for this challenge is CUTE + SENTIMENT

Our sponsor for this challenge is Drawn by Krista

The sponsor does not provide images for us to use.

So I am using Pretty Pink Posh images for my card. I love these little fat bees. They are so cute and I have been waiting to use them. I have this background die from Paper Trey ink and thought this would be perfect for the honey comb look. I took Ranger ink and sponged till I got that honey color.. I then taped in some of the inside pieces so that it looked like some of the combs were open waiting for pollen.. I added a little brown Ranger sponging to the back ground. I used Mission water color paints on the bees and a little black Prisma colored pencil and then used the dies to cut them out. On the wings I added Spectrum Noir shimmer pen. I added the bees on foam dots. I then took Simon Says BE die and Happy die and cut it out a bunch of times and layered them to make it thicker. I then did more BE so I could cut off the E and add to the BE to make it BEE.. I was happy with how well the added E went on so it looked like one long word. I then went over the words with the Spectrum Noir pen.  I am loving those chubby little bees. I have always had a soft spot for "B"s cause my mom and dad names started with "B" and my brother and my name are "B".. and my dad would sign cards.. letters the 4 "B"s and would draw a bee..  This gave me happy memories..

Happy birthday to Moo Sunny Day Crafting #19

Wednesday May 9, 2018

Welcome back to another challenge at
today's theme is COWS

I have two cow stamps and it was hard to figure which to use. I knew I wanted this card to be top fold so I first did the ground blending with Ranger inks and the sky with Ranger inks and both with my templates. I used a scrap of Quick quote wood grain paper and Taylored Expressions fence die.. So once I had those done I laid each cow down to see how they would fit. The first cow was a side profile which took up a lot of the card ground area.. So I decided to use this My favorite things front view cow, water trough and chick.. I used Tech. Tues. flower and sentiment. I colored the images with copics and die cut them out.. I wanted the  field full of flowers so I added quite a few. I loved the little chicks so added one to the rim of the trough and top of the fence. The cow is darling. We live in the country but we don't have any animals other than our two hair baby dogs.. But our neighbors field is next to ours and he has his cows over there and I just love looking and watching them. The cute little babies and how they just jump/hop around. So cute. We get to enjoy with out the responsibility of managing them.
